A Heartfelt Thank You for a Wonderful Day at Taste of Kildare!
We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to everyone who joined us at the Bord na Móna Family Day at Taste of Kildare, held yesterday at Naas Racecourse. It was an incredible day filled with fun, learning, and community spirit, and we are so grateful to everyone who came along to share it with us.
From the youngest attendees to the young at heart, everyone had a blast meeting Compo, the compost bin and Wendy, the waste bin. Through our interactive ‘Guess the Bin’ game, children and adults alike learned the importance of waste segregation in a fun and engaging way. We hope the take-home activity packs have continued the conversation at home about how we can all play our part in recycling and caring for our environment.
The children’s activity tent was a hive of energy, with face painting, carnival games, and balloons on recyclable sticks adding to the excitement. Watching the kids’ smiles grow as they joined in the activities was a highlight of the day for us all.
The main stage was alive with the incredible talent that kept everyone entertained, and with so many delicious food stands and unique vendors to explore, there was never a dull moment.
In addition to the fun, we were proud to have Tony Finnerty from Bord na Móna Recycling join Dee Laffan for a discussion on the importance of organic bins and why proper waste segregation is essential for minimising environmental impact. Tony shared invaluable tips on how we can all make better choices when it comes to managing our waste, and making a big difference with small everyday actions.
Once again, thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the Bord na Móna Family Day such a fantastic success. We can’t wait to see you again next year!
