Bord na Móna Recycling are proud to once again support June Fest by providing recycling and waste management services. June Fest is a community and family-orientated festival run by the non-profit organisation, White Lily Events, in Newbridge each year. June Fest celebrates and promotes music, arts, culture, nature, sports, heritage, history, and other associated and related activities by hosting events in Newbridge and the surrounding area. The festival attracts audiences from Newbridge, Kildare generally and neighbouring counties. Collaboration with local community groups is key to the success of the festival.

There are many great activities and events held over the festival. One of these events is the Unseen Exhibition Launch in the Riverbank Arts Centre. This is a free event where Kildare Art Collective’s exhibition, ‘Unseen’, in Riverbank Arts Centre, reveals what we generally do not, or cannot, see. It prompts us to question the invisible, the obscured & the unnoticed.

Secondly, as part of the festival the amazingly talented Kildare Yarn Bombers have transformed the Linear Park into a colourful wonderland. This project was the work of many crocheters and knitters as well as all those who helped put the final display together. This is certainly a crowd favourite when it comes to June fest and we look forward to seeing what they come up with each year.

Our marketing team’s Shane Mackey and Lauralouise Reay took a walk down yesterday to Linear park to check it out and were amazed by the fantastic display and all the wonderful colours.
