We are delighted to share the exciting news that Bord na Móna Recycling has been shortlisted for not just one but two awards at this year’s County Tipperary Chamber Business Awards. The event, taking place on the 22nd of November, celebrates excellence in business across a range of industries, and we are honoured to be recognised in two key categories: the Community Award and the Sustainability Award.
Our nomination for the Community Award highlights the success of our Primary Schools Upcycling Competition, a project that reflects our deep commitment to promoting sustainable practices within communities across Ireland. Through this initiative, we engaged young minds, empowering them to think creatively about waste and the possibilities of upcycling. The competition was supported by live classroom presentations and educational resource packs, offering students a hands-on opportunity to explore the world of upcycling while fostering a sense of environmental responsibility. We are incredibly proud to be one of five finalists in this category, generously sponsored by MSD, and we hope this recognition will inspire even more schools to take part in our competition in the future.
In addition to the Community Award, we are thrilled to be shortlisted for the Sustainability Award, which shines a spotlight on the impact of the Nenagh Civic Amenity. As one of the region’s leading waste management facilities, Nenagh Civic Amenity plays a critical role in encouraging social responsibility through accessible and best-in-class recycling services. The facility supports individuals, businesses, and organisations in actively reducing waste and protecting the environment. We are honoured to stand among four other nominees in this category, with the award generously sponsored by Bulmers.
These nominations are a testament to our dedication to sustainability, community engagement, and environmental leadership. They reflect our mission to not only provide top-tier waste management services but also to inspire positive environmental change across generations.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the County Tipperary Chamber and the award sponsors, MSD and Bulmers, for recognising the importance of sustainability and community initiatives. We look forward to celebrating alongside our peers at the awards ceremony and continuing our work to make a lasting, positive impact on Ireland’s environment.
